A bespoke cake studio with a very clear sense of its own universe. Our job was to give that universe a shape.

What Is Gigi ?

Gigi is a bespoke cake studio specialising in floral and sculptural creations: tiered cakes, handcrafted botanicals, made-to-order pieces for occasions that deserve more than ordinary. The brief called for an identity that felt precious, feminine and considered without tipping into kitsch. Girly and high-end, in equal measure.

Challenges

The challenge with a brand like this is precision of tone. Too sweet and it loses credibility. Too minimal and it loses warmth. The visual language had to sit exactly in the space between elegance and indulgence, and hold there across every touchpoint.

Solutions

Dylan built a typographic identity rooted in calligraphic lettering, framed by fine ornamental details. The colour palette centres on a deep burgundy, ivory cream and gold: rich without being heavy, feminine without being precious. An identity that feels as carefully made as the cakes themselves.
